COMICCON 2010!
SAN DIEGO… drink it in, it always goes down smooth.
Yessiree. If you’re in San Diego at ComicCon on Friday and Saturday… you can catch me wandering around dumbstruck at the Dark Horse table signing some stuff with people who are much more important than I am, dig:
Friday:
12:00pm to 1:30pm- signing with Duncan Fegredo (YAY!), Fabian Moon, Gabriel Ba, and Mike freaking Mignola.
Saturday:
3:00pm to 4:00pm- signing with Patton Oswalt (no shit) for “Serenity: Float Out”
4:00pm to 5:00pm- signing with the cast of “Let Me In”; Chloe Moertz, Kodi McPhee, Richard Jenkins, and more!
hope to see y’all there!
Shakin’ the money maker at the Utah Arts Festival…
Last week I did my second ever book signing, and I finally got to meet Scott Allie… who is simply a man who makes all dreams come true… for me anyways. Scott’s made it so I can afford my Pop Tarts, and get to work at the best job there is. Along the way, I met some fine friends and fans, and they even let me talk to the media unsupervised! Was this a good idea? I’ll let you decide. Here’s some footage…
By the way… Dave Castleton helped me put a sweet time lapse on the “contacts” page, instead of some regular mamby pamby photo. Dig:
Free Comic Book Day!
It was cool and surreal to do my first ever book signing with Chris Claremont (X-Men writer for an unprecedented 17 straight years so) and some other local Utah comic book artists…. and yes, there are at least four of us. Its like finding new survivors after a zombie apocalypse, really. Some 8-year old girls wanted me to draw them a picture of Tinkerbell with a chainsaw arm standing on top of a mountain of flayed human skulls, all while I was sitting next to the guy who actually draws Tinkerbell. And yes, I had to use his Tinkerbell drawings for reference. I’m douchebaggy like that.
I’m on the TEEVEE!
Got interviewed for the KUED documentary, “The Job.” Thanks to Dave Castleton and Doug Fabrazio for putting together not only a slick-looking documentary, but also making a pretty damn moving film experience…

daaaaaas right!
Hey! I moved the Press stuff into a handy little sidebar, and added a “Concept sketch” gallery so y’all can see the first steps in creating a comic book story, and the characters that go in it. Again, special thanks to Grace Allison for not only designing the template, but making this website not suck.
I’m trying to get the hang of this new website… but at least I got all of the art work up, just check out the “Artwork” tab. I’m gonna keep on tweaking, look for more sweet stuff coming soon!
Special thanks to Grace Allison for helping out with the layout.
